解释Explanation

“从”后面加时间或者地方，表示起点，意思是“从……开始”。“从……到……”说一段时间或者一段路的开始和结束。“从”和后面的词放在动词前面。

从 marks a starting point in time or place: "from". The 从 phrase goes before the verb: 从美国来 "come from the US", 从八点开始 "start from eight". Pair it with 到 to give both ends of a stretch of time or distance: 从一点到五点 "from one to five", 从我家到学校 "from my home to school". 从小 means "since childhood".
