解释Explanation
“A＋让＋B＋动词短语”表示A要求B做一件事情，或者A允许B做一件事情。B是“让”的宾语，也是后面动词的主语，所以叫“兼语”。否定形式是“A不让B……”，表示不允许。
"A + 让 + B + verb phrase" means A asks / tells B to do something, or A lets B do it. B plays two roles at once: it is the object of 让 and the subject of the next verb. That is why it is called a "pivotal" sentence: B is the pivot. 妈妈让我看书: Mom tells me (me) to read. The negative 不让 means "not allow": 爸爸不让我看电视 "Dad doesn't let me watch TV".
