如果提问的人对某个事实或者情况有比较肯定的估计,为了进一步得到证实,就可以用这种疑问句提问。"是不是"一般用在谓语前面,也可以用在句首或者句尾。

When the speaker is fairly certain of a fact or situation but wants confirmation, this question form is used. "是不是" (literally "yes or no") goes before the predicate, or at the start or end of the sentence.

  • 你很少生病,是不是喜欢运动?
    Nǐ hěn shǎo shēng bìng, shì bu shì xǐhuan yùndòng?
    You rarely get sick — you like sports, don't you?
  • 是不是明天爸爸休息?
    Shì bu shì míngtiān bàba xiūxi?
    Is dad off tomorrow?
  • 我们星期一去北京,是不是?
    Wǒmen xīngqī yī qù Běijīng, shì bu shì?
    We're going to Beijing on Monday, aren't we?
