解释Explanation
“几”用来问数量，一般用在估计答案小于十的时候，比如问家里几口人、小孩几岁。“几”后面要加量词：几口人、几岁。数目可能比较大时，一般不用“几”。
"几" asks "how many" when you expect a small answer — usually under ten: the number of people in a family, a child's age, the time of day. Like a number, 几 needs a measure word after it: 几口人, 几岁. When the answer could be large, Chinese speakers use a different question word, which you'll meet later. Just as with 谁 and 哪, don't add 吗 to a question with 几.
