疑问代词“什么”

“什么”的意思是 what。汉语的特殊疑问句不改变语序：回答放在哪儿，“什么”就放在哪儿。问名字常说“你叫什么名字？”，回答“我叫……”。用了“什么”的问句后面不再加“吗”。

"什么" means "what". Unlike English, Chinese does not move the question word to the front of the sentence: 什么 stays exactly where the answer will go. So "What's your name?" is literally "You are-called what name?" — 你叫什么名字？ — and the answer simply swaps 什么名字 for the name: 我叫安娜。 A question that already contains 什么 never takes 吗 at the end.
